Elliott Equine Connections was founded by Aimee (Elliott) Lindgren in 2011 and offered lessons and horse training focused on safety skills, recognizing and using appropriate body language around horses and building confidence in the connection between horse and human.  Aimee educates and encourages use of essential oils for emotional and physical support of horses and their riders and can also be used on dogs (over 25 pounds) or any livestock.  Our essential oil blends for horses are pre-made and ready to use and can be applied for topical and/or aromatic uses.

Let us tell you a story.  It wasn't coincidence that Aimee was introduced to dōTERRA essential oils in late fall of 2011 during her search to learn of alternative options to support one of the horses belonging to EEC who was battling a chronic skin irritation, brought on by insect bites. For nearly 14 months, having had little to no success with supplementation, homeopathic remedies, OTC products or veterinary prescribed antihistamines and steroids, Aimee was losing hope for "Hobo", a 3 year old gelding.  The moment Hobo was introduced to Roman Chamomile, Melaleuca, Peppermint and Lemon, he softened in the eye, lowered his head and took a deep sigh of relief.  The horses' behavior and mood improved greatly during the next few days as demonstrated by his increase in energy, appetite, and appearance.  Hobo had stopped itching, his skin looked healthy and the sores all across his body began to disappear.  Daily application of "Aimee's Blend" and a couple drops of Lemon essential oil in his water supported his bodies' natural ability to heal itself!  Maintenance with this essential oil blend was working!

Today, EEC's primary focus is on HELPING HORSES through educating people about essential oil blends to support some of the most common threats (in horses), specifically related to these body systems: digestive, respiratory, muscular and immune as well as emotional response and skin.  Each blend is formulated with the appropriate essential oils intended to support that targeted body system, then diluted with fractionated coconut oil.  Fractionated coconut oil is a vegetable based, carrier oil which has had lipids from the fats removed to make it ideal for topical skin application.  FCO helps to slow down the absorption rate and deliver the essential oils safely and effectively into the skin.  The essential oils used in our blends are Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils free of pesticides, herbicides, gmo's, toxins, synthetics or chemicals and are 50-70 times more powerful than herbs. Once applied, the blend will absorb into the skin in about 20 seconds and are in every cell of the body within 20 minutes and back out in 2-4 hours.  Because they have the ability to penetrate the cell membrane wall, they are able work with the body on a cellular level and are safe to apply as often as necessary.  The body will not become immune to the blends and are safe to use regardless of other supportive methods.
